Fallout 3 should i help president eden

Grab the items you can of most interest will be the Gatling Laser and Plasma Pistol , and then get ready to fight this final set of goons, concentrating on one at a time. The humongous amount of Stimpaks you've found and likely already had will come in handy here, since missiles do a number on your limbs. Take out these final foes and make sure to grab their Tesla Armor as you run outside.

The situation outside is hectic. You won't find any Enclave ground forces thankfully , but if you were nice to the Super Mutant named Fawkes earlier in the game, he will be out here taking shots at the interesting helicopter craft the Enclave uses. Speaking of which, those helicopters are taking off en masse heading to an unknown destination. It seems like some sort of invasion force is brewing. What's going on!? Well, teleport instantly to the Brotherhood of Steel's stronghold at The Citadel to find out.

Once you arrive at The Citadel, you'll find it much the same way you left it when you took off earlier. But worry not, for even if things in the courtyard of the former Pentagon seem like business as usual, once you enter the building itself and head down into the laboratory, things are a little more hectic.

Elder Lyons and her daughter, who heads the Brotherhood of Steel's elite unit Lyon's Pride are arguing over how to act next. And that's where you come in. Until the Elder and Sarah begin talking to you directly, they don't know that the Enclave has the G.

Making matters worse, the Enclave has sent everything they had to protect that position and don't intend whatsoever to let it go without a fight. After either holding onto or giving away the FEV Virus keeping in mind that the Brotherhood intends on destroying it after examining it , you'll be given an option by Sarah for some new armor which you should decline, since you have Tesla Armor, much more powerful than whatever she's offering you.

Then, when you're ready, speak to her again to begin the game's final mission. Fallout 3 Wiki Guide. Last Edited: 20 May am. Was this guide helpful? YES NO. In This Wiki Guide. Prepare for the future with the third in the classic, post-apocalyptic franchise.

Leaving the only home you've ever known, you emerge from the Vault into the Wasteland to search for your father, and the truth. Release Date. Home Sweet Home Alone Review. Along the way out there are plenty of force-fielded areas with Enclave crates. Again you must hack the terminals to deactivate. There is a terminal that will open a deathclaw crate, resulting in its captive deathclaw attacking everything in sight, aside from the player who it will ignore until all other hostiles have been killed.

You can also open the crate the deathclaw is held captive in with a Lockpick of The crate is directly beside the terminal. On the way out, you will find a Gatling laser in a crate behind a blue barrier unlockable by a computer terminal. In the last group of 2 soldiers, one is wielding a missile launcher and wearing Tesla Armor.

Once outside you will observe a fleet of Vertibirds leaving the base. If President Eden's self-destruct was activated during the conversation with him, the base explodes and the tunnel is blocked with rock; regardless of whether or not the self-destruct was activated, there is no going back inside.

At this point you'll meet the super mutant Fawkes if you released him from his cell in Vault 87 , who will be armed with a Gatling laser and taking care of some Enclave soldiers. If you have positive Karma , you have the option of asking him to join you. Midway through, Elder Lyons will ask you for further information about the Enclave.

You may give him the FEV virus Eden gave you for Karma and "proper disposal after the scribes have studied it". Regardless of your choice here the remaining conversation remains unchanged.

Sarah then makes you an honorary member of the Lyons' Pride and offers you a full suit of either power armor or recon armor. Any time after the briefing, you can tell Elder Lyons about Vault 87 being the origin of the super mutant threat, for good Karma. At this point, she will ask you if you're ready to head to the Jefferson Memorial alongside the Brotherhood of Steel and the Lyons' Pride to stop the Enclave soldiers and Colonel Autumn.

Note that this is the last story mission of the main game without Broken Steel , so replying yes to this is a point of no return. You may want to save and leave the Citadel to finish any other optional side-missions you have in the Capital Wasteland , as you will not be able to continue playing after the ending unless you have the Broken Steel expansion installed.

This will also be your last chance to recruit Star Paladin Cross , she will not join you after Take it Back! She will rejoin you if she was previously in your party. When you're finally ready, talk to Sarah and say "yes. When Liberty Prime is halfway up the shaft, the quest will be completed and Take it Back!

We can debate who betrayed who first, but at the end of the day if the human Enclave were attacked by base defenses they would have hesitated "Does he want to kill the LW? It seems to me Bethesda was going to have it so we could side with Eden or side with Augustus but then abandoned that plan and left everything in a big mess.

Seems to me that there were far more people in the Enclave that thought the same way as Augustus. Not well explained at all. It would have been alot easier for Eden to simply say "Kill the Wastelander" rather than kill his own people on mass in the hopes for killing the LW. But then why would he do that if you agree to help? So no matter what Eden and Augustus fight one and try to kill you. Augustus might still see the wasteanders as impure but he sees their value as a work force.

Not slaves but as serfs, the lower class or second class. He isn't alone in his thinking. People have left the Enclave. They aren't the Borg, they are individuals with their own personalities.

In Fallout 2 they weren't all robotic xenophobes. They trade and use wastelanders for their own goals. I feel Augustus could have has his own cult of personality, even though it wasn't clearly shown. I really don't like how the Enclave are shown in Fallout 3. Augustus is the only one that sees Eden. Others may talk to him over a radio, but Augustus alone gets to see him.

Also given is rank, he would be right up their with Eden in terms of being idolized. Autumn was one the things I most hated about Fallout 3. A man who does not want to kill everyone with the resources and army to protect people and rebuild society and it was barely mentioned and we could not side with him no matter how much I wanted to. The Brotherhood is clearly the better choice!

Forget that Autumn's plan is essentially the same thing. Damint the Brotherhood should have the purifier!
